Greeting Valentines Day, Saint Valentine's Day, Valentine's Day generally is reduced, an annual memorial service on 14 February instead of celebrating love and affection between intimate companion.  The day after one or more named early Christian martyr, Valentine's Day, and was founded by Pope Gelasius I in 500 n. Chr. It was removed from the Roman calendar of saints in 1969 by Pope Paul VI, but the religious observance is still permitted. It is traditionally a day on which lovers press their love for each other offer by presenting flowers, candy, and sending greeting cards (known as "Valentine"). The day was the first time with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished connected.
